Convenient for exploring the uplands, peaceful villages and characterful market towns of this part of Wales, the narrow gauge Llanfair and Welshpool Light Railway is about 4 miles and Welshpool with its craft shops, inns and canal boats is 7 miles. Dolgellau, gateway to Snowdonia, Llangollen and the coast at Aberdovey and Barmouth are about 1 hour's drive. Powys Castle 7 miles. Golf, fishing and riding available locally. Shops and pub 3 miles.
