Situated in the picturesque village of Courtmacsherry, this small hamlet of cottages stands in 4 acres of grounds backed by beautiful woodland and with each cottage looking out onto the tranquil bay. Together with a sandy beach, pubs, restaurants and shops, the village has a sailing school and riding stables and plenty of scenic walks. A birdwatchers' paradise, Courtmacsherry Bay is a natural sanctuary to a wide variety of birds including heron, wild ducks and cormorant, whilst further along the coast lies the magnificent wild scenery of the Seven Heads peninsula. Just 8 miles away is the bustling, flower bedecked town of Clonakilty, with shops, golf, cycle hire and an interesting model village. Further afield is historic Kinsale (20 miles), a mecca for all watersports and the renowned 'gourmet capital' of Ireland, also housing the country's only wine museum.
